Hi! My first name is Patricia, pronounced “puh-tree-cee-ah”, my name was given to me by my abuelita Lissette. Her reasoning for my name was that it kind of sounded like “patria”, which basically translates to “homeland” or  “proud of where you are from”. Puerto Rico is my home, and the home of all of my family members. I may not be there physically right now, but it will forever be a part of me. I have always tried to live up to my name and make art that represents my people and my island through mosaics as well as printmaking. In addition I have my great and loyal companion, Slinky, a miniature dachshund that so happens to be my muse. Feel free to roam around my brain in this space and learn more about the art I create!
